I am a Chartered Professional Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria with more than 35 years of international engineering experience, including over 13 years in Australia, working across hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain management, stormwater engineering and water resources management.
My background includes consulting roles with Hatch in Australia and Canada, as well as senior technical and project delivery positions with the Northern Territory Government, Wollongong City Council, the South Australian Government and Otago Regional Council in New Zealand.
Project experience includes Barrow Island Airport flood mitigation, Gorgon stormwater drainage, Murray River hydraulic modelling and a Territory-wide hydrological modelling program covering 20 major river basins.
Ongoing independent hydraulic modelling investigation of the Rasuwa–Trishuli river system, using HEC-RAS, digital elevation data, satellite imagery and GIS.
Current work includes river geometry development, flood-wave scenario testing, hydraulic stability checks and examination of model sensitivity to roughness and boundary conditions.
This study is not yet complete. No results are presented as calibrated or validated findings. Event photographs and actual modelling figures may be added after source, permissions and technical checks.
Available to discuss hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, independent review and subcontract engineering assignments.
